Can I eat offal while breastfeeding?

I know you're not supposed to when pregnant cos of Vit A concentration but is it OK when BF? I know you're thinking 'yum offal..' but I love me a bit of haggis/fois gras.

Have asked (12 year old) doctor but he was a bit useless.

No as long as it is cooked then don't see why not. The Vit A thing is just while you're pg.

and it is only liver you have to worry about while pg
all other offal is fine

The Vitamin A risk from meat (vitamin pills are another matter) is meant to be mostly apocryphal. I was told that the woman who had this problem was living on liver smoothies.
