5 Month old - Sippy cup or Bottle?

My DD is 22 weeks and EBF. I have an appointment I need to go to that I can't take her with and want to leave her a feed (expressed milk) just incase. I will feed her before I go and will be gone about 2 hours. She normally feeds every 3 hours but in the last week it varies from every 1.5 hours to 3 hours so don't want her to be left hungry. She has had a Tommee Tippee sippy cup to play with recently as she is very interested in my teacup and has managed to drink a little cool boiled water from it. Do I stick with the cup or try and introduce a bottle? I don't want to confuse her too much. It's hard to explain but if she has a bottle I will feel like I have failed her??? My rational mind says I'm being stupid but my irrational side doesn't believe it!

Sorry for the waffle!

Coconut, not going to comment on your feelings, just the practicalities....it is pointless to introduce a bottle to a baby who is starting to manage a cup, as most babies can do, at this age. I don't see the advantage of it - she will cope well with a cup for the 2 hrs you are away so why bother with the hassle of a bottle???

Bottle is more hassle than it's worth at this age - I'd say go straight to the cup. She will manage fine

Thanks - I will go with the cup and will try it a bit more before the day to get her drinking more efficiently - yesterday when she sucked hard she got a huge mouthful and choked a bit and dribbled alot out but she loved it. DH looking forward to giving her some milk too.

BTW - I am not saying anyone who has given their baby a bottle has failed - it is my own personal feeling about me and my baby.
