Switching to cows milk..

DD2 is now 11mths and I've always said I will stop bfing at 1 year and now feels like the right time to wean her the boob. Its a purely selfish decision on my part cos she loves bfing and can (and does) do it all day - always refused fromula in any kind of cup or bottle. Can I start the switch from brest milk to cows milk now by switching all daytime feeds to a cup of cows milk and being tough. Question is more is it ok to give her cows milk at 11mths or do I have to leave it till 12mths??

She can have cows milk at 11 months but it shouldn't be her main drink until she's 12 months. It's a perfect time to start gently phasing it in.

Thanks - sorry for the typos
Just out of interest - why is it suddenly acceptable at 12mths??
