EEk.....what is going on?

DS is nearly 10 months and has always been breastfed. Last night I realised that when he was feeding that I hadn't felt let-down and he didn't seem to be getting anything. Told myself I was being silly. He fed at 345 and 500 and his nappy is nearly bone dry. What is going on? Eating and drinking as normal, not been drinking, had a bit of sleep even. Was going to try and wean soon, but he wont take milk out of anything else yet and he's having trouble with water at the moment as he's teething and just bites cups this weeks. What makes your milk disappear in a flash?

Meant to say that both other feeds no letdown feeling and his latch is same as has been for nearly a year...with last feed I tried moving and moving him. ????????

If you hand express, do you get any out at all?

Not very good at it. Left one cant get anything, right one few drops.

Even with a dry nappy I think it's really unlikely nothing was coming out. I'm not sure even hand expressing is telling you for sure. At around this age my daughter did an odd thing where her night nappy was very dry despite several night feeds but then her first nappy (from like 5.30-7am) was REALLY full. So see what the next nappy is like.

It's REALLY common to stop feeling the letdown. Wouldn't he have let you know at the breast if he wasn't getting anything?

TBH milk doesn't disappear in a flash. The most likely explanation is that he WAS in fact getting milk but that you couldn't feel it and he didn't pee much. See what his next nappy is like.
