why has my 17 week old gone from drinking 8oz to 5 oz????

please could anyone help,my baby has always happily taken 8 oz of formula for the last few weeks.however he is now totally refusing anymore than 5 oz per feed and becomes very upset if i ask him to try more.i am totally puzzled as i presumed he should be eating the same if not more as time goes on ????

He might just be feeling a bit under the weather or just not as hungry as he has been. Appeteites vary as much in babies as they do in adults.

Give it another week and he'll probably be back to 8oz again.

thanks for that, i am just a bit worried as he has never done this before.but ill keep my fingers crossed in the hope he will return to normal soon.

ds has been fussy with his milk lately, he was taking his milk well but has gradually gone from 6-8oz per feed to 2-4oz. i've now changed his milk from aptamil easy digest to normal stage 1 aptamil & he's back up to 7oz. the other different thing i have done is put bonjela on his gums, just incase his teeth are bothering him. hope this helps.

he's 22wks btw & this started about 6wks ago!!
