Bottle at 7.5 months?

Ds is now going to nursery. He was exclusively breastfed till now. I am planning to continue breastfeeding morning and evening and night but will be away in the day. I am pants at expressing.

The nursery are trying to give him Aptamil in a Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature bottle but he is reluctant to take it. He is settling at the moment and going every other day - I'm due back at work at the end of the month.

He hasn't been bottle fed till now - I was hoping we would be able to get him to take a cup by the time he went to nursery. The nursery were keen for me to get the Tommee Tippee bottle though. We have tried him with a doidy cup at home and he seemed very interested but got more water over himself than in his mouth.

Does anyone have any experience of getting a baby to take a bottle at this stage?

Not at that stage but Nuk bottles are good for breast fed babys, you can get them in sippy cup form which you can put a teat in to start with, will save you money rather than buying to seperates, that is what we did and OJ was off the bottle by 6/7 months, (i know that isnt the norm, we weaned him early because of his heart condition.)
