DS almost 6mo and gradually stopped bf over xmas. I felt happy with this choice as was due to several blocked ducts, returning to work soon and DS nearly 6 mo. But on Sat he started to get a gammy eye and doc says is conjunctivitis.
Feeling very bad and guilty today, would he have fought it off if still bf? He has been FF since the new year and have also begun weaning this week which he loves but am feeling i should return to BF? SO really I'm asking is this
(a)possible
(b) worthwhile as will be weaned soon
(c) just a guilty reaction?

Can't answer your problem, but if it's any help to know this, I bf DS2 for 17 months and during that time he had conjunctivitis about 5 times. Sp please don't feel guilty. His eye infection is not your fault.

thanks uberalice for reassurance and to FLF too. I have calmed down a bit now and think that it was just a knee jerk reaction to conjunctivitis, it looks so nasty and every time I looked at DS I felt bad!!
I think it would be too much stress to try and restart just as am going back to work. As I said in my original post I was happy with my decision to stop and at the rate he is wolfing down solids I reckon he'll be fine.
Its that guilt that gets us every time!!

Thanks again x
