Is it possible for one breast to stop producing milk and the other to carry on?

I've always been a bit uneven when it comes to supply and recently have not been as diligient with making sure the left side which is the poorer side is used.

I used expressed milk on xmas day and only the right side became engorged from not feeding.

There is a little milk on the right side but really not much. Is it possible for one side to stop lactating and the other carry on?

yes. my toddler stopped feeding off one side and i assumed that he was just about to wean. that was in july and he's still feeding off one breast . i was worried [shallow] that i would be lop sided but doesn't make any visible difference. weird
