Exclusively bf-ing 10 week old - but period started today

Not fair surely! I thought exclusively breastfeeding meant no periods?

Does anyone know if it will affect my milk? Shes feeding every 3/4 hours and has been uncharacteristically grumpy and cry-ey today wondering if the fact Ive come on will affect my supply?

Grrr so annoying having to dust off the mooncup so soon. Only a six weeks since my post partum bleeding stopped entirely.

I had periods while bfeeding with both children.
Some of us are just unlucky i guess.
It didn't affect supply for me either.

Your milk may taste different, but I don't think it should have any effect on your supply.

Both times mine started again at 6 weeks, with no effect on supply.

Yep, same here! Mine started again after about 7/8 weeks.

ahh not fair is it. mine came back both times at 7 weeks pp

period CAN affect supply. it won't be drastic though, but you may notice baby feeding more often.

I got mine at about that time too. I did have a noticeable drop in supply just before af each month but I was exclusively pumping so knew the exact amounts that I was producing.
