Negative feelings about breastfeeding are so very pervasive.

I discovered this a few weeks ago when dd2 (aged 5) asked me 'what labels were on my milk when I was a baby?'

I explained that she was breastfed and her milk came out of my boobs so there were no labels or packaging, to which she replied

'urgh, that's disgusting' Now, she was a child who never had a single bottle and bf until she was nearly 3 years old.

Just shows, really. I am going to have another baby soon so perhaps I will be able to change her view

Simplysally I breastfed dd on a beach and hopefully I will with this next one. I was surprised, I didn't get any strange looks, yet when I feed in my local cafe I get dagger eyes from everyone

I also suspect that the photo of her breastfeeding was taken without permission using a long distance lens. Its hardly a flatternng pose. I would be pissed off if someone took a photo of me breastfeeding without permission.
