I have recently started weaning my 6mo dd,she has been having breastmilk exclusively so far.I still breastfeed but i want to switch to formula milk very soon.I am all confuesed about which formula milk i should be using???which one u use and how did you make a decision?I have checked the ingredients hoping that it's all the same, but some brands(i've checked 4)have as much as twice of some vitamin and minerals.Am I being unreasonable getting into so much detail? Please help!!!

they seem to be much the same but is impossible to get infomation on which is best as they are not really allowed to be promoted so they all say their brand is the best but you can't get objective information. choose one you like the look of and if it does not upset your babies tummy just stick with it

I did a taste test and chose the ones that tasted most like my milk. I mostly used Aptamil and sometimes Hipp Organic.

Aptamil is good because of the prebiotics (found naturally in breast milk), and they encourage the growth of friendly bacteria in baby's tummy.
It also has a handy box with flip lid and scoop leveller built in so you can measure it out one handed.

IMHO SMA was the worst tasting (and sniffed at by my HV's and MW's too).

Taste test it's a great idea!!Thanks.I did plan to give them to my dd to try, have boxes of ready made and Hipp Organic sachet, why not try them myself first and compare with my milk..We are getting there then
