How old is your baby? If she has a cold and is stuffy could be frustration that cannot feed and breathe (try a little vick on you if so) or could be ear ache on one side so that it hurts feeding that side - is she better feeding on the other side?

If she is about 2 weeks old could be start of colic - not much you can do - the walking round with baby draped over your forearm so there tummy is resting on your hand works (but is v wearing on you!). Colic does usually seem to occur at the 5 pm witching hour.

Funny you should say about the vick, my husband suggested putting olbas oil on my bra strap and it worked she is now sleeping away in her cot! In her carry cot in the cot, thats another issue we tried putting her in the cot on its own but she didn't like it, any ideas?
