How many ounces of breast milk will i need to express to continue feeding my baby at 4 months?
At the moment she is only 7 weeks old i am expressing a bit about 5 ounces a day. I am a bit worried about when i go back to work in march09, i would like to carry on with breast milk but am worried I won't be able to produce enough. Any ideas?

formula box says 7oz 7x in 24 hours i think, or maybe 6x.

Babies don't need anywhere near the volume of breast milk as they do of formula. My DD never wanted more than 5oz of EBM, I think she stopped taking it in they day time at about 10 months.

Because the composition of your milk is so perfectly suited to your babies needs a smaller amount is enough IYSWIM.
