4 month growth spurt- how long does it last?

My excl. breastfed 4 month old son is having what I presume is a growth spurt - basically for the last 2 days feeding ( a lot)about every hour and half. Does anyone know how long it usually lasts. I am particularly worried as I have posted here before about my mad inlaws and their intolerance to frequent feeding and was hoping that it would be over by Wed when we go to them for Christmas.Am I being too optimistic?

Usually for a few days but for some it can go on for a week.

Tell them to mind their own bus and if you wanna feed ur hungry baby then do it.

You have a few days left so he should be over and done by then

Um, we're still going strong 2 weeks into it.

We are in a growth spurt with a massive 4 month old baby (he's on the 99% line of the red book).

So far a couple of days of a lot of feeding. Went to bed at 6pm with him last night and he nursed for subjectively hours with short breaks inbetween. He seems to have slowed down today. Hurrah.

Fingers crossed that you have a peaceful christmas with your nursing DS and that your mad inlaws lose their voices over the christmas period
