Going back to work in 4 weeks . I hope to still BF in the mornings and evenings [possibly deluding myself emoticon] DD (6months) getting her first bottle of formula after breakfast tomorrow
I would love to know about all your experiences of the old booby/formula combination.

I tried doing this! Morning feed was fine but I think the solid breakfast really filled my DS not so much the breastfeed but it was nice to stay in bed for a cuddle. By the evening my milk was low and this didn't last long, turned into a bottle after a few days. I think some women are lucky and it just works. If i'm being honest, as soon as I stopped feeding during the day, my poor diet, rushing around and being soooooooo tired meant I didn't have much milk to give!

we have been mixed feeding for about 6 weeks now as DH wanted to feed DS2 and i couldnt express. DS2 has boob all day and then DH gives him 5ozs formula at about 10pm (we use Hipp organic as i understand it is a closer consistency/taste to breastmilk). It seems to work fine for us as DS2 has his cluster feeding between 6 and 8pm and then by 10pm he just wants a big feed before settling down to sleep. my milk supply isnt great after the cluster feed so the bottle of formula helps me (plus i can get an earlyish night ready for the night feeds.
