Eastenders - Roxy expressing

I have to say that I am well impressed with Eastenders having Roxy expressing bm for the prem Amy and dropping it into scenes fairly often.

Roxy just gave Billy a bottle of just expressed (and warm) milk to take up the 'ospi'al

It's not often we see references to bf... if at all, is it?

i agree if there going to refer to it at least get the technicalities right saw it the other wekk and she said something about "im breastfeeding well at least trying to" what kind of an example is that it just solidifies the idea that its hard its not on

it was good to breastfeeding instead of the normal bottle used in tv programmes but would been even better if she'd used the tongs in the steriliser rather than her fingers to put the teat into the bottle!

At least they're talking about it. When Tanya had her baby last year, she gave birth and was out shopping a couple of hours later!! Plus, it is actually quite hard to get a premmie to latch on, so it's probably not that far off the mark!

they have maybe taken on board criticism of their handling of infant feeding in the past. I've certainly bent the beeb's ear about it in the past.....

....and the preemie story aside, the fact she is expressing neatly sidesteps the issue of how you deal with BFing when it's not her baby and she has never been pregnant.

mothersmilk.....BFing is hard in the early days, and I imagine much harder if you are having to express all the time.
