My DD is 20 weeks and currently has between 7 or 8 feeds a day (24hours)

During the day she goes 3/4 hours and takes 5 or 6ozs per feed.

At night she wakes every 3/4 hours too and drinks about 3ozs. Sometimes longer if we are lucky!

Does this sound about right?

Other babies I know the same age don't feed half as much as my DD

I was about to start a new discussion on this. The past week, my 6 wk old is feeding every 3 / 4 hrs and taking 180 ml / 6 oz. I think this is too much. What is every one else on? health visitor says he might be on a growth spurt?

I'd say its pretty normal for a 6 week old to take 7/8 feeds in 24 hours (both my dd and ds did at that age and older). By 16/18 weeks though they had started to cut down their feeds and managed to go 4 hours between feeds so had about 5or6 feeds. They didnt cut down much further until they were well established on solids. Have you tried giving a feed at your bedtime to see if that helps her go a bit longer?
