dropping feeds.....

For various reasons (reflux and having to express every feed and going back to work)I have over the last week just given up the 11am feed and I now give my 8 week old baby boy expressed milk at this time. Would it be possible for me to give up his 3pm feed in the afternoon too and give him a bottle then, but still be able to give him his 7am and 7pm feeds from the breast? I have heard mixed stories of whether or not you will have enough milk to do this.... ( He has a bottle of formula at night around 10.30pm anyway). I would really like to be able to still give him some breast milk if at all possible.

I'd be really grateful for any advice on this!

Breast and bottle fed both of my DCs but have to say I was still predominately breastfeeding at 8 weeks. You should still have plenty of milk for the 7am and 7pm feeds but the issue may be whether your son is content with the mix. I also returned to work when my DD was 6 months old but delayed switching daytime breast feeds to bottle until she was 5 months old.
