hi

boy great all day and feeds no bother but by 4ish hes usually screaming. after a week or so hes really in pain and has really bad wind, beyond a joke and loads of nappy fills. then it settles down again until the next time. hes on aptamil and im begining to wonder if its the milk thats too rich for him, or if hes allergic to something etc. cant let him keep being in agony on a regular basis, he is 15 weeks now. anyone out there having a similar prob??

hmm our DD was on Aptimil too an she wouldnt burp for the world. and OMg it was bad so when you say beyond a jke I really hear yah. She would scream and scream because of this, we would pat her back till our hand was numb and Dad would have her over his knee trying to get it out, boucing is what really worked for us...head over the shoulder and standing and bouncing on the spot hugging baby quite tight to kinda squeeze it out. good calf workout. This wind problem lasted till she was about 6-7 months.

HV just said tummy massage to help poos and Infacol before feeds... burp straight after and or half way between so it doesnt get all built up. Gripe water, if you can get him to swallow the nasty stuff. Or they say you can put it in with the bottle.
Just it will go away...eventually.
If you think it maybe an allergy you should check itout but if hes fine after wind comes out then I'd put it to that
All the best
