Breastfeeding and evening primrose

Is it safe to take evening primrose oil while breastfeeding?

I have very dry skin and evening primrose really helps it, but since I've been breastfeeding DS I've stopped taking it. Is it safe?

DS is nearly 10 months, if that makes any difference.

It's just a plant oil, like olive oil, can't see why there'd be a problem. In fact, I may go and buy some as the skin on my hands is cracking!
