HI. i have the philips avent steriliser. it says in the instructions that the bottles remain sterile for 6 hours if you keep the lid on.how long would they remain sterile for if you dry/assmeble them as soon as they are sterilised?
a bit confused.
thanks

Technically, they're not sterile once you've touched them. However I used to assemble the bottles and then keep them in the fridge for use later as I thought being cold would slow down any bacteria growth.

I read you're supposed to "air dry" the bottles rather than dry them with a towel. But it takes mine 24+hrs to do that so have I just negated the effect of the sterilizer? (I have an avent microwave one)

I just used to asemble them and as far as I know they are ok for 24 hours once you have done that - I didnt wait for them to air dry, I just assembled them straight from the steriliser.
