Biting Advice Please

Have just read post about the sore boob and I'm now very paranoid. Dd (7 months) is about to get a tooth (can feel sharp edge poking through). How do I prevent biting injuries? I'm terrified as I'm bound to get bitten (sods law, mastitis 4x, hellish start to bf, slow weight gain etc etc - I know it will happen).

poor thing! my dd is 7 months so i sympathise with the teething. she nipped me a few times, but i took her off immediately and did not bf for 5 or so minutes. she seems to have gotten the message that biting = no milk. like yours the tooth's not quite through yet and i'm having horrifying visions of cybertooth baby haven't met a one nippled mum yet though so i wouldn't be too worried

DS prefers biting me on the arm than on my boob - that would interrupt him getting his milk and he's far more keen on that . However he has nipped once or twice, but nothing too bad and doesn't do it regularly. He got teeth though around 9mo (now 15mo).

The tooth is no further through this morning so I guess I have a few days respite!!
