10 mth old DD rejects me

This is my first time doing this but I can't seem to find anyone with a similar problem. My 10 mth old DD has recently (last 4-5 days) refused to take the breast. She had been having a breast feed morning & evenings but now when I try to feed her she simply cries and struggles to get away. Can't figure out why this should be although she has been ill on and off for the last 5 weeks (vomitting / flu / cold) plus (and this is the one that kills me ) I've been going through a torturous split from DP and have had difficulty eating (although am forcing myself) so am worried about milk supply. Generally speaking she doesn't appear to miss the feeds as she isn't crying and is eating solids very well. Any thoughts?

Sorry to hear you are having a hard time.
Illness can cause DD to pull away from feeding if her tummy is hurting. Loads of nasty colds about at the mo. Or is your DD teething? Painful gums could cause this. You often don't find out the reason until it's passed- which I'm sure it will.

I second Kellymom as great source of info.
Also breastfeedingnetwork & howbreastfeedingworks. Sorry crap at links.

Although, I reckon the most important thing for you is to take good care of yourself and find a way to ride out the storm. X

Thank you all for your kind (speedy) words. Might sound weird but it really is comforting to feel the support. Can't thank you enough
