So I think 4 month old ds is having a growth spurt. He's waking twice in the night for food now and he's constantly hungry during the day. The trouble is....I've just tried to feed him when he woke and was still sleepy, just as always, and he screamed at me for a full 20 minutes. Couple of sucks and then scream...I've just given up and brought him downstairs. How do I increase feeds if he won't feed!!! He'll down a bottle of formula if I give it to him. He's already had a whole ready made carton this morning so I don't want to give him more if I can help it. I have 6oz ebm in the fridge for later...but he's not going to last until later!

There will probably be a slight delay in the demand-supply equation, that is, he is demanding more, and it takes a little while for your supply to catch, up, which is normal and how it all works. By using formula or ebm, you are not allowing the supply to catch up.
If he doesn't want to feed, then maybe that's not what he's crying for?

xx
