Infatrini - any experience?

I've been posting over the past few days about expressing for my friend's baby. He is poorly in hospital and has been unable to breastfeed so between my friend and I we have been expressing and he has been having our EBM by NG tube.

He is very weak due to Bronchiolitis and is on oxygen to help him breath.

The Dr's say that he needs more energy and have suggested using Infatrini.

My friend is reluctant because her DS is 11mths old and has never had formula. He was born prem and she persevered for weeks to get him to breastfeed so for her formula is a big no go.

However she is very worried about him and doesn't want him to get any poorlier. She just wants her little boy back

She is really torn about what to do for the best. Her gut feeling is to keep on with the expressing and give him EMB but she doesn't want to do the wrong thing.

Any experience of using infatrini - what were the effects good or bad?

rascal, sorry i don't know but you are great for helping your friend like this.

do you mean 11ww? if it is 11m then why not more food, even in liquid form. if 11wk can't he have more from milk bank / you two?

bumping for you.

infatrini has extra calories so would help as baby would be using extra energy to fight infection.

Rascal,

I have no experience with Infatrini, but thought i could pass on my healing thoughts. You are doing such a fantastic thing for your friend and her son. I hope he gets better soon. {Big Hugs}
