Oh i done this when dd2 was 18months.. she was still feeding nearly every hour throughout the night and i was completely exhausted. I would walk around all day like a zombie.

I would still give her 'mummies milk' at bedtime then every other time she wakened i would cuddle her and make sure my breasts were completely covered. She would turn her whole body round so her legs were facing me then kick me hard with complete rage. I had to keep the room dark, speak quietly - "shh shh shh mummy's here" and hold her close to me so she was unable to kick. She would be screaming in anger. This happened for approx 1 week and was mentally and physically draining but, now my nights as so much better. She does still waken during the night but when i say cuddles she will happily put her arm round my neck and cuddle and go straight back to sleep.

I read the No Cry Sleep Solution to boost me now and again!!

DS is 8 months, so not sure I can be so strict.

hoochie,

The anger she showed for not getting the milk was unbelievable. She would pull my hair and scratch and kick. When generally she is really loving and caressing. Remoing them from the bedroom before giving the morning drink is a great idea. I still spend most nights in her room with her though and by morning i am still so tired i can't be bothered moving !!

Roll on the days when i can sleep for a full night in my own bed eh?!

OBTW, after weaning her from night feeds - my period returned and out came my longed for femmecup! which i must say is fantastic.
