expressing

I expressed exclusively for 9 weeks whilst my DD was on SCBU and for a few weeks once she was home because of difficulty latching on to the left side. Almost from day one I was able to express 180ml+ per 3hrs for her.

DD is now 11mths and was exclusively breastfed until she was 7.5mths. She is still on around 7 breast feeds a day.

Out of curiosity I have just tried to express and got 1ml off

Now I know expressing is no indicator of supply but 1ml!!!!

Would the amount increase if I carried on or have my boobs just lost the ability to be expressed?

No need to express but just curious

You probably don't get the let-down in the same way when you are expressing - I'm no expert, but that would be my guess.

I found if I expressed just before feeding that it was more bountiful. DC had the other one.

Also being relaxed helped
