My 9 wk DD2 old happily takes a dream feed of breast milk at 11pm. I am needing to wean so can start my migraine medication again and am prepared for a slowish wean over 4-6 weeks. Only wanting to start with 10am feed.Just trying with pure breast milk, have tried two bottles, tommee tippee and now mam. Took one bottle thurs at ten so thought was going to be ok with this new mam bottle. Has been screaming for half and hour now, husband trying with bottle so can't smell my milk. Don't know what to do, didn't have this problem with DD1. Just don't know what to do.Please help!

If she's taken a bottle fine before, then at least you know she's able to. Maybe she's just too hungry and upset now - why don't you start feeding her yourself, and then switch to bottle halfway through when she's calmer? Good luck.

First of all, my sympathies. This happened to a friend of mine. It's a good sign dd has already successfully used a bottle once.

A suggestion. Try doing the first half of the feed by breast, and then when you switch boobs, wop the bottle in to catch your baby unawares.

If that doesn't work, try using a small, clean cup, preferably washed in a hot dishwasher beforehand or sterilised another way.

Best of luck!
