does anyone know if there is a link between drinking fizzy drinks and colic/wind?
yesterday DS was really windy and struggling and straining to fart. i have a bit of a coke addiction and drink quite a lot of the stuff. my DD wasn't like this at all and i don't know what to do.
DS is 4 weeks, and has been really windy since he was 2 weeks old.
we have tried infacol and massage to get it out and it does work but it takes a while to come out.
he's fully bf.

No - no possible link at all between fizzy drinks and wind. There is no possible way the carbonistion could get into your milk.

Some babies respond to high levels of caffiene, and there are a few stories around of mothers who drank a vast amount of coffee and whose babies became jittery and unsettled.

I think there is caffeine in coke?
