Periods coming back

DD is 6 mths old and has been mix fed since around 4 wks. Just recently up to 3 bottle formula a day and around 2-3 bf.

Anyway, not that long ago (annoyed that I didn't write the date down), my period came back. I am sure that it was only about 2.5 wks ago. Today, I seem to have got a period again.

Does this sound normal?

i had colposcopy treatment on my cervix at the beginning of last month. 3 weeks ago i bled badly and they wanted to keep me in hospital because they didn't know what was causing the bleeding, anyway, i bled for 2 full weeks and then started bleeding again on wednesday - so only a week of not bleeding.

My DS is also 6mths and bf.

It wasn't like this on my first DS though, I only had a period every 3 mths or so and they were light.

Anyway, I'm bleeding heavily again, so I still don't know if it is a period or something to do with the treatment I had. I have an appointment at hospital in a few weeks.

I would say not to worry about it. write down the dates now of this period and see when your period comes again next month. It could just be that they will settle into a normal pattern over the next few months. But if they are continually irregular, then a visit to yout GP would be a good idea.

my periods came back when dd was 7 months, she is bf, and they have been very heavy since and last 6-7 days.
