OK so how different might by boobs be?

I am thinking of stopping BF

DD, who is just over ten months old, currently has one short bf a night from only one boob at a time so that my means my boobs currently produce at a rate of one feed every 48 hours

so if I stop, will my boobs change dramatically do you think?

mine did change after i stopped bf, but there was a delayed reaction (obviously the change was in a southerly, not a perky direction but you can get some great underwear

When you stop feeding you may be aware of a slight fullness for a few days as you will still be producing more milk than you think. It takes a number of weeks for you to stop producing milk (mainly because you will keep squeezing your nipples every so often to see if it has gone )

Once the milk stops being produced your breasts will feel pretty droopy and 'empty'. However, fatty tissue will be replaced over a number of months months(probably nearer a year) and you will regain boobs. I have breastfed 4 times and my boobs are actually pretty perky even though I say so myself. Does take time to get back that way though.

Aha but I have running round my head the fact that you put one of your brood straight onto cow's milk at 10 and a half months

its good to hear the fatty tissue will be replaced .. I shall go on a high-fat chip and chocolate diet immediately

TBH she's started chomping with her new gnashers, and she's not so interested but I think I did OK for someone who was quite revulsed at the concept of bf at 6 months though

You certainly did do well Twiglett, and you are quite right (what a memory, DS2 finished breastfeeding at 10 months (I was pregnant again and felt too sick to be bothered breastfeeding anymore) and actually had more juice than cow's milk 'cause he didn't like it that much
He has no fillings at all by the way. He had milk in food and occasionally milk as a drink if he would take it which certainly wasn't daily. Got his calcuim by other means such as cheese, yogurt, puddings etc.

DS is having cow's milk when I'm at work now (two days a week from today ) and he's a year old three weeks today!

I have fed ds for 2 years and my boobs have come back. They had a pitta bread look for 6 months or so in the middle, but they look a lot better now. Very weird, but nice, as I am still feeding.

I stopped at 9.5 months and to be honest I am quite proud of my boobs ... They are not what they used to be, bless them, but they have done me and DD proud and if they are slightly softer/saggier/floppier/LOWER than before I don't mind as to me they are a testimony to my prowess as a champion breastfeeder of SUMOBABY ...
They are my 'Badge of Motherhood' ... along with the crepy skin on my belly, the bags of fatigue under my eyes, the c/s scar somewhere in my pubic area ...
