Does it 'wobble' sort of loosly? For me, its a general hardness in the area, maybe the size of err... well, it was about 10cm by a few across, just a line area of hardness.

it is hard and roundish, i cant move it

For me it feels bruised and achy. Can be a little pea sized lump but if it stays blocked it gets much bigger and wedge-shaped.

Have you tried expressing/massaging gently, warm compresses on the area?

feed your dd with her jaw closest to the lump - that should help clear it. ALso massage down towards your nipple.

It's important to try and get it cleared as it can lead to mastitis.

the lump is under my nipple level iyswim, near to where it re-joins my body in the middle?? (have small boobs)

Massage the lump towards your nipple while dd feeds. And yes, heat (either hot bath or compress) can help, IME

Thankyou

I would try bfing lying down, angling the lump exactly under her jaw.

Scorpio, if you're around, how's it going?

scorpio1 · 08/11/2008 16:09

it's still there, but alot smaller...it got quite big in the evening yesterday, but is much smaller now. Trying really hard to get rid of it.
