newby mum needs reasurrence please help x

my 6 week ld was feeding really well sometimes 5 oz a feed now she seems to have taken a nose dive gulps down the first half then struggles with the last bit , she holds her wind a lot last night feed at 22 30 she only took an ounce when she woke a 3 this morning she gulped her food bought most of it back up and then was unsettled and took 2 ounces again at half 5 is this normal

Sounds like wind to me. Have you thought about changing teat size? Or winding her after every ounce? It's really trial and error. If it gets painful for her you could try Infacol which is administered by a dropper and gives orange flavoured burps, or Dentinox which I think goes in the milk.

How is she this morning?

i burped her after each ounce this morning and iv put her in a sleeping nag instaed of swaddling her she is flat out thing is we have doctors 6 week check at 9 so will have to wake her thanx for advice

Hi I just wondered what bottles you are using.

I recommend Dr.Browns bottles these are excellent they come with a funnel In the center that stops baby swallowing lots of air.
They are a bit pricey but well worth it.

Good for windy/Colicky babes.
