am new to BF - DS is 7 weeks old today and is exclusively BF.
he feeds well from either side - feeds for approx 20mins a time from one side.
anyway, noticed end of last week that under the areola of my right breast there was a red rash. its not hot/sore/tender/itchy etc but has spread so its like a horseshoe around the bottom of the breast. have also got a bit on my left breast. Am not sure what mastitis looks like but am confused as its not really bothering me but i dont want it to develop into anything.
has anyone got any ideas what it is, should i be concerned and will it affect BFing
