DD doesn't seem to be doing much- just a bit of runny stuff with some grainy bits every 2 days.
I want to be sure DD's getting enough milk.

hello. when my ds was that age, it was somewhere between every 3 and 12 days! HV just thought he was efficient at absorbing nutrients and now he's on solids its much more regular sadly!

rdp it is the wet nappies not the dirty ones that count. lots of wee is enough milk.

as long as lots of wee it's fine. bf babies generally don't produce much, as they are digesting everything you produce (ie it is all useful). ff babies tend to produce more as there is more 'unnecessary' stuff in formula (ie more waste product)to make it into a palatable substance, if you get my drift. it's 'necessary' to get them to drink it but not 'necessary' for the baby, so only the 'useful' stuff is absorbed. you can be happy that you are producing exactly to your dd's requirements!
but it won't last...

My ds is 4 months and normally does a few poopy ones a day he's exclusively bf.

Forgot to say, as long as your dd is getting lots of wet nappies (it varies how much babies poop) is alert, happy and gaining weight she is getting enough milk.
