The charity Breakthrough Breast Cancer has launched a website to increase the awareness of the disease and encourage UK women to check themselves regularly for symptoms.
A close relative of mine was diagnosed with breast cancer about 6 months ago. Because she knew the symptoms to look out for she identified the disease in its early stages, received treatment from the NHS and has now fully recovered and is back to work.
This is a subject that is close to my heart and it is one that we as women should embrace and deal with instead of pretending it's not there.
