Right
We've decided that we're not actually ttc but we're not trying not tc!
How on earth would I know if I did get pregnant? I'd like a bit more notice than 9 months later! Or even 8 weeks when I start throwing up?

scorpio - Firstly HUGE (albiet late) congratulations on dd Millie.

I am now wanting to test after reading this and not even done the deed enough to have a good chance of preg.. also bfing still 5-6 times a day!! Samuel now 9 months old!! been crawling since 6 and half months and now a climber.. Into everyhting

But.. has got painful again when feeding and have felt irritated by comfort sucking... but that seems to have cleared up now...

Want another but not actively ttc yet.. need to make appointment as last time had clomid.

scorpio1 · 03/10/2008 22:15

ooooh awen, helllooo!

llareggub · 03/10/2008 22:16

buttonmeup, you may not need Clomid again. I had all sorts of fertility treatment with DS. This time I got pregnant at the er, drop of a hat!

ButtonMeUp · 03/10/2008 22:26

llaregub i wish. Already have 2 ds's but 8 years apart. Have Polycystic ovaries and only about 2 natural periods a year so def not counting on nature (plus i am old ) 33!

buttonmeup....ditto to PCOS and also we are teh same age!

I still take metformin, do you?

ButtonMeUp · 03/10/2008 22:32

No metformin at the moment as bf and goes through milk as does the clomid. Dont know if i can take them when feeds cut down to 1-2 times a day. But have to say it worked well for me.

llareggub · 03/10/2008 22:33

I've been on metformin all through my last pregnancy and also have been breastfeeding for the last 2 years...all while on metformin prescribed by my consultant.

llareggub · 03/10/2008 22:35

Sorry, that sounded really blunt, I didn't mean it to.

ButtonMeUp · 03/10/2008 22:37

I was told by my gp they would prescribe me metofrmin whilst bfeeding, the BNF says not to. Is funny how differing drs and health authourities deal with it. Although at present i am feeding at least 5-6 times a day.

llareggub · 03/10/2008 22:41

Oh well. Some GPs won't even prescribe it for PCOS. I'm not too concerned as my consultant advised taking it during my pregnancy and she is bit of a specialist in PCOS.

ButtonMeUp · 03/10/2008 22:53

i think my consultant said was ok for preg troo but have moved and this gp isnt having any of it. Have to wait to get referred as well.

llareggub · 03/10/2008 22:58

I had a very long lecture from a GP when I first moved here about using metformin for PCOS. I switched to another GP and have had much more support. It does vary so much, doesn't it?

ButtonMeUp · 03/10/2008 23:14

yes it does. Am going back in about a month when ds2 will be 10 months to try and get an action plan sorted. Hoping will get px clomid from gp rather than having to wait for referrral process...

llareggub · 03/10/2008 23:36

Good luck with TTC.

ButtonMeUp · 04/10/2008 21:41

thank you you too
