I have recently gone back to work and for the first time for a while expressed the in evening.

my milk was blue. Not blue as in pale foremilk slight tinge of blue but blue(more duck egg blue than smurf blue)!

DP can verify (he thinks I'm a freak).

anyone else had / heard of this this

I want to know how on earth you manage to pump 8oz .

Sycamoretree · 03/10/2008 23:34

Hi Chipmonkey, Yes, I know - it was a medically monitored Very Low Calorie diet. I only started the diet once I was ready to give up BFing .It was GP monitored, and tbh they said I was fine to continue, and were supportive but I drew my own line under it when the milk went green (about 4 days in). It worked though - 4 stone down and now one year down the line...

milkmonster - with my hand held avent! I used to pump the 11pm feed at about 9pm watching TV then go to bed and my DH gave it to DS. It was quite a bizarre experience - with my DD, I totally failed to BF (crash section and a whole airport novel of nastiness and horrors) and probably managed to pump a thimble full in total.

With DS it was so different - and I was so determined - I guess the gods of BFing smiled on me given what a rotten time I'd had first time round. Not that I could always pump that much...

chipmonkey · 04/10/2008 00:08

OMG, I hadn't!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And OMG you really do it in style, don't you! Really admire anyone who has a HB, 4 CS's here and really would have liked to push one out!
How is dd1?

PeppermintPatty · 04/10/2008 00:13

I think this is normal. Mine was often a bluey shade, I was a bit freaked out but my mum reassured me it was normal.

SparkyFartDust · 04/10/2008 14:54

Thanks again all.

and congratulations Foxy.

I am also at Sycamore's 8oz!
