How do i incerase my supply?

My babies 8 weeks old and i feed him both sides for 20minutes every 4hours during the day. He is quite happy after that and is obviously full as hes content and settled.
However im expresing after each feed so i can get a bit of a supply in the freezer incase i need it at any point, but i dont seem to get alot out when expressing. Does anyone have any ideas how i can make more milk to be able to store some?

He is doing well! The only thing I can think of is instead of expressing after a feed to create a fake feed in between one of the feedings? sorry not much help but maybe someone else has more ideas

I find expressing after each feed & doing a 'fake feed' in between helps me get the most milk expressed.

Only way to increase your supply is to feed more regularly, more feeding signals brain to produce more milk.

I would express first thing in the morning - if you can manage it about an hour before the baby's first feed. That is when you probably have the most supply, and then when the baby feeds you will make more.

Expressing after every feed is tiring and demoralising when you don't get much.

thanks for all your help and advice, dont really want to start feeding him oftern though as hes in a really good routine and is very settled inbetween feeds. Will try and express efore my 1st feed of the day and see if thats helps.. My only concern with doing this though is im going to be taking from his feed and he wont get enough because i will have expressed before he feeds...How would that work?

as long as you have a gap between expressing and feeding - your body will just think - aha time for another feed and make more milk as he sucks.

yeah, first thing in the morning was the only time I could express a decent amount.

I would just ask myself whether it is pleasant for you to go four hours without a drink or a snack. I bet you don't, yet you expect your baby too.

NO your right but he doesnt moan at all for food between feeds, thats why i feed him 4hourly. If he complainds which he rarely does i do feed him before 4hours but he obviously gets plenty when he does feed as is full. Thats what i think. And was asking for advice not sarcasem!!!

Wow - that's a lot of water to drink! You don't need to drink this amount, honestly, and it is certainly not helping with your milk, despite all the myths.

Same goes for food - eat according to hunger only

yes i am thirsty which is y i drink that much...but i dont drink any other drinkd during the day like tea,coffee or juice or anythin which is y i get through so much water. And as for eatin i only eat when im hungry dont see the pont in eatin just for the sake of it. But thanks for the link tiktok
