why not mention to your HV that you are willing to do this. in our araea we ahev 'commumity mums' who do this and give support to woman at home too

I was invited to do it by a Health Visitor but tbh I didn't feel the mums-to-be were that interested - it felt rushed and tagged on to another session by which time they were already jaded. Perhaps a post natal session at the hospital, in conjunction with a bfc would have been better. If you contact local NCT they include a bf session in their antenatal course.

Are there any local peer support schemes near to you? I did an 8 week course and now help to support other mums at baby cafe's. Mums who are interested in breastfeeding are linked up with a supporter. Other peer supporters go into the antenatal clinic.
