aww is he very small? it's very common for them to cluster feed in the eenings

Habbibu · 23/09/2008 21:45

DD used to do 5-10 every evening! I do sympathise - it was tiring, but I ended up loving it. How old is he?

hotmama · 23/09/2008 21:48

Probably cluster feeding - obviously depending on his age.

When dd2 was about 2 weeks I spent the whole of the Brit Awards bf - just swapping sides.

It doesn't stay like this forever!

growth spurt or cluster feeding.
get some chocolate and tv remote and go with it, it will pass

ObsidianBlackbirdMcNight · 23/09/2008 21:56

h really? he's 10 days so that sounds likely. how many days will he do this for? he has only had one 3 hr sleep all day!

madmouse · 23/09/2008 22:01

if it is a growth spurt he will do this for about 48 hours then settle down. It is hard work, but it will ramp up your supply for him.

so do eat the chocolate!

Oh I remember a 7 hour feed from dd when she was little. Dh was away and I was delirious by the end of it, but we survived!

So looking forward to going through these stages again soon .

see if you can work out how to feed lying down in bed - this saved my bacon in the early days as you can both doze off when you need to without disturbing each other
