Hi

I've got a 10 month old and I can't quite keep up with his milk requirement now he's at nursery 3 days a week. I'm using a Medela Swing but my freezer stash is depleting.

I'm going to hire a hospital grade pump - Medela do the Lactina and Symphony - does anyone have an opinion on which is best or whether there are other schemes/pumps I should look at?

Thanks,
Anna

I used the Avent UNO and it saved my life!

I pumped 5 days a week for a year with an Ameda Lactaline, which is an excellent double pump. They cost less than 70 quid on Ebay, which is cheaper than the first month of hiring a pump, and they are just as effective.

Are you maximising your pumping effeciency by pumping as long as possible, doing breast compressions whilst pumping, and hand expressing at the end ? Theres some good advice on www.workandpump.com
