If you've just started feeding you'll be producing colostrum which is usually yellowish.
If you've been feeding for a while I don't know what it could be....

MrsTittleMouse · 29/08/2008 15:58

My colostrum always reminded me of old gone-off Vaseline. DD1 seemed to like it though.

charchargabor · 29/08/2008 15:59

Yes, it's fine. BM can be all different colours, even green! It can be to do with what you've eaten. Have a look at this article

charchargabor · 29/08/2008 16:00

Oh yeah, could be the colostrum too

sweetkitty · 29/08/2008 16:03

Just keeping feeding loads it will quickly turn milky coloured

Congrats on having a new baby too

Mine was muddy grey green to start with and a very helpful m/w said she'd never seen colostrum that colour and would just check it was okay to give baby.

Was expressing as baby wouldn't latch otherwise she'd never have known & I wouldn't have felt like I was poisoning my own baby!

One of the BF counsellors said she'd seen everything from bright green to bright orange.
