We have no television and so have been immune to Little Britain thus far. Some posts on here and some comments at lical BF drop-in have got my curiosity up re: this 'bitty' thing. Could some one please explain it to me.

It's a horrible sketch about a grown man who is still b/feeding. They call it "bitty". If you feed a baby over the age of about 6 mo, it's apparently funny to say this to the mum.

The implication, I think, is that once a child is old enough to talk (urgh....) they will ask for milk by saying "bitty"
