Someone posted a link to this on a thread I was reading about a year ago. And unsurprisingly I can't find the thread in the search facility.

Does anyone know what it is? Basically you just stuck in a HV or nurse's name and it came up with what courses they had taken and any specialist knowledge sort of thing.

The Nursing and MIdwifery Council. (NMC) it's the database for all nurses etc.

www.nmc-uk.org/aNewSearchRegister.aspx, although no-one I've checked has had many details.

If they have "No Recordable Qualifications registered." does that mean they have none? My midwife has a start date in the mid seventies...

AvenaLife · 26/08/2008 22:20

I'm not sure. Maybe they just have not updated their qualifications.

mears · 26/08/2008 22:24

No recordable qualifications means something additional to initial registration like non-medical prescribing ie they can prescribe medicines.

There are lots of other courses that are approved but do not meet the criteria for being included on the register. HTH.

You must complete 35 hours of study every 3 years in order to re-register by the way

Thanks!
