i do 35-40mins...toolong?

there isn't a right or wrong length mummy2bsoon. Baby should be fed on the first breast until they have stopped feeding; then change and offer the second breast until they come off on their own there as well.

Agree no such thing as too long. Personally after about 30 minutes of nuzzling away at one boob (in the newborn stage) I'd offer the other boob, but that was just me and how I liked to play things.

Once BF was well and truly established it was very obvious when one boob was starting to flow less and she wanted the speed of flow from the other one and it would be about 10 minutes or so on each boob and she'd be satisfied.

But in newborn early days she'd be on one or other breast most of the evening.
