Is anyone watching the Tina from Hollyoaks breastfeeding story?!

I just saw tonight that Tina is breastfeeding her baby on the sly! I just think it's hilarious given that:

A) she gave birth about a month ago

B) she was a surrogate to her sister and handed the baby over right away therefore has had about a month for her milk to dry up

C) the baby when given boob a month after he was born has obviously latched on perfectly right away, what a clever boy! (Clever mummy for getting it right within 2 seconds too!)

D) baby is refusing formula from non-birth mum (Tina's sister) as Tina is breastfeeding baby on the sly (probably about once every few days) cos as we all know that's how long breastfed babies go between feeds.

Yes I know it's a stupid soap but I just sat and had a good old chuckle at the TV, if it was only that simple in real life!

When I was watching it I thought there's a thread starter if eve I saw one!

She also expressed about 7oz, from a Medula breast pump and seemingly then put it into a avent bottle, just to through down the sink! (I'm so sad!)

You are right, they are bith very clever!

Noonki, that's a good point, while I was watching today I was wondering why Tina wasn't giving the baby her milk. Did I miss something?

I am sad aren't I....

I thought she'd taken the formula through to feed the baby with but then boobed him so had to throw the formula down the sink so Jackie wouldn't catch on?

Or are you talking about another episode I've missed?

God I need to get out more...

(Plus has she never heard to breastpads!!!)

You missed an episode! I was confused by the leaking boobs then they showed her expressing (why?!) and tipping the milk down the sink. At first I thought she was expressing for Jackie to feed. I laughed when the baby was born (supposedly prem) and looked bigger than my ds! Dp keeps reminding me its just a soap but it bugs me! Okay I am officially a saddo!

Ebb - buts he's not prem cause its not tony's baby, tina and jackie know but no-one else!

Oh yes of course! Silly me - it's Russ's isn't it. It still looked huge tho! I bet a lot of Mums wish they could bf as easily!

okay ahve just caught up and yes she was throwing her expressed milk down the sink, showing she's still producing (and getting more than some posters can from expressing!), and knowing her mum will be in any minutes decides to latch him on with a smile! Very 'hand that rocks the cradle'

Is she expressing just to get rid of her milk in case her boobs explode? Has she not heard of supply and demand? Or maybe she was meant to be expressing so Jackie could feed baby breastmilk?

And yes don't you think re the prem baby thing that a Dr would clock that the baby was full term and say something?

How do you think the story will go? Who's gonna catch her with her boobs out????!

As I said before, yes I need to get out more but it's peeing down outside and I can't get out due to Hollyoaksitis.

She's not been expressing she's BFing the baby and she is Max's mum at the end of the day. Sorry Hollyoaks fanatic here LOL.

I think it was formula she thre down the sink because Jacquie had the bottle for Myra in the episode before and told her not to put the foirmula in until he was due a feed.

Also the docs never knew any differen t about Max they didn't know he was prem only Jacquie and Tina, she found out when she went for a scan and never said so the Dr wouldnt have known the date of conception anyway plus she didn't go full term she had to have a section when Nile pushed her down the stairs.

I need help.....

the doctor said baby max was born after 30 weeks so stood a good chance. Tony said 'oh he is younger than that' so maybe 28 weeks. I think Tina was about 33 weeks, max was huge thhough

I think tina has been expressing to relive the pressure, so still has milk

The doc did say something about how old the baby was. You saw her with the breast pump (electric - why pay for one of those if you're giving the baby away?!?!?) beofre she poured it down the sink.
