Breast pads

Can anyone recommend some breast pads which are comfortable and do not itch! I have tried a range of disposables and find they really irritate my skin especially round the edges. I've also been using washables (Mothercare ones) and find milk still leaks through them .

I'd like to use washables really - does anyone have any suggestions?

I used the Lansinoh ones, very comfortable but if you're leaking a lot, you will need to change them often.

I had some made...I can't recall where, it was a Work At Home Mums website. Maybe you can find online someone that runs them up? They were flannel, and the handy thing was I could double up if being particularly leaky.

I had some washables, lovely and comfy and not too leaky...
off to find that brain cell again, sure i had it a while ago

They were the Avent ones.

Depending on how far along you are, try LilyPadz? I tried them 2 weeks ago and got a massive flood which washed them away. This week, however, they're working (6 weeks now).

I have been using the Lanisoh disposables. I bought some avent washables but they look really obvious under most clothing. I also bought some lovely giant woolly washable ones from the nct but I can't remember what make they are. I've just ordered some lilypadz as I was out with a friend yesterday who swears by them.

Lansinoh disposables at the beginning, then washables when you stop leaking so much.

You can get them from Boots or John Lewis on line.

They are fantastic

Really wish I'd found them first time round.

Just read you are really looking for washables, sorry

Think I made it fairly clear that washable Lansinoh are good imo.

But also lots of nappy site sell washable pads, and particually ellashouse make hemp ones which you can get in other colours inc black.

I use Lansinoh washables ones and have done for the past 5 months. They are bulky and you can see them if your top is tight, but they are comfy.

I do use the disposable ones when I am going somewhere fancy and dont want the bulk.

Sometimes I use Lilypads as well, but I find old-school ones in the bra more my thing.

I liked the Carriwell breast pads when I was breast feeding. Check out cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=150275453064&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT&ih=005
