age for self-weaning?

So DS has decided that he no longer wants his morning breastfeed (he's two today) Does this sound about right? He's always loved his food, so he doesn't really need my milk anymore. Just feeling a little sad as I'll never breastfeed again (unless a miracle occurs!)

Yes I think so. They don't normally self-wean before the age of one. My mum had 4 that she let self-wean and they were all between the ages of 2 and nearly 4!! Well done for bf'ing for so long

It's sounds about right to me. I assume that the morning feed was his last feed to go. He may change his mind however. Sometimes self-weaners skip a few days and then ask again and maybe skip a few more days.
Large HUG and as the PP says well done for going so long.

Self-weaning usually between age 2 and age 4.
