help -dd1 is now 2 weeks old and have had a small lump on one breast since about a day after milk came in (had some trouble establishing b/f which may have contributed).
to cut a long story short lump is still there - was given flucloxacillin last week which seems to have stopped it getting worse but not getting any better despite my efforst. am still feeding off it , used cold compress/cabbage leaves and hot compresses plus massaging it but nothing seems to help. Now starting to feel sweaty and flu like so went back to doc who gave me stronger antibiotics (augmentin) with instructions to go back next week . as the area very localised he thinks it may be an abscess which will need specialist treatment.
Is there anything I can do to help with this? also if i do have abscess and its treated can I still continue to b/f as don't really want to give up just cos of this?
